Vascularity and Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging

چکیده
Angiogenesis is a key step in the initiation and progression of an invasive breast cancer. High microvessel density by morphological characterization predicts metastasis poor survival women with cancers. However, morphologic subject to variability only can evaluate limited portion Consequently, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) currently being evaluated assess vascularity. Recently, through new field radiomics, dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE)-MRI used vascular density, morphology, detection aggressive cancer biology. While DCE-MRI highly sensitive tool, there are specific features that limit computational evaluation blood vessels. These include (1) evaluates gadolinium does not directly biology, (2) resolution insufficient for imaging small vessels, (3) images very difficult co-register. Here we review approaches analysis vessels present some strategies have developed co-registry early vascularization.

conclusion fs t2 w and ce fs t1 w sequences of axial planes were the most useful sequences in determination of active sacroiliitis. therefore, in patients with renal failure or allergy to contrast media, fs t2 wi can be obtained to detect active sacroiliitis. objectives the aim of this retrospective study was to assess the value of different magnetic resonance imaging (mri) sequences in evaluat...
متن کاملContrast agents in dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging
Dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) is a noninvasive method to assess angiogenesis, which is widely used in clinical applications including diagnosis, monitoring therapy response and prognosis estimation in cancer patients. Contrast agents play a crucial role in DCE-MRI and should be carefully selected in order to improve accuracy in DCE-MRI examination. Over the past...
متن کاملDynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging as an imaging biomarker.
Dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) is being used in oncology as a noninvasive method for measuring properties of the tumor microvasculature. There is potential for DCE-MRI to be used as an imaging biomarker to measure antiangiogenic effects of cancer treatments. This article reviews the general methodology for performing DCE-MRI and discusses existing data and challe...
متن کاملPrimary breast osteosarcoma: dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging, proton spectroscopy and diffusion weighted imaging findings.
Dear Editor, Primary pure osteosarcoma of the breast is a rare malignant tumour and is histologically indistinguishable from conventional osteosarcoma of the bone and other extraskeletal sites. Being a rare entity that is briefl y reported in the radiology literature, it has some interesting imaging features worthy of discussion. Here we report the novel fi ndings of dynamic contrast-enhanced M...
